Northern Governors’ Forum: From Symbolism To The Niger Governor’s Abuja Lodge

Why have Northern Governors stopped holding their meetings in Kaduna? Why has the symbolism of that city become increasingly lost to our governors? At a point they became afraid to enter the city, when they were plotting their schemes to support Goodluck Jonathan’s presidential ambition, contrary to the feeling of the mass of Northerners. So they fled Kaduna. But they’ve got their Goodluck; let the meeting return home to Kaduna. The Niger Governor’s lodge in Abuja is not the historic capital of our region.
